Service in the Community
Lynn is passionate about community service. She serves as a deacon of Eastminster Presbyterian Church and is an adult leader with Real Life, the high school youth of Eastminster. Her thrill is to coordinate and implement service projects for the youth at Eastminster, such as ringing bells for Salvation Army, feeding the homeless with United Methodist Open Door Ministry, and putting on a Valentine’s Day celebration for residents at a local nursing home. Her office has adopted a family selected through Communities in Schools at the Christmas season.
Lynn serves on the board of directors for Kansas Legal Services, a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to helping low income Kansans meet their basic needs through the provision of essential legal, mediation and employment training services. She also serves on the advisory board for the KLS field office in Wichita, Kansas.
Lynn is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Wichita, and served as its president in 2006-2007. Her office has supported Junior League fundraisers for many years, including Kids Zoobillee, and Holiday Galleria.
She and her husband, Dale, support their alma mater, Washburn University School of Law. They recently endowed a scholarship for the Children and Family Law Center at Washburn Law School.
